So here it is. Out of sheer boredom (and not a little narcissism) I have decided at last to wrestle with the Blog. Of course, it's really just an excuse for a good rant about things that make me angry. So here's todays list of petty hatreds:

1) This odious male couple at my gym - let's call them the Dwarf Who Thinks He's A Bear and his friend/carer, the Ever-Grinning, Square-Headed Speccy Manchild. Why are they so odious? They give each other hugs of encouragement before half-heartedly having a go at an exercise machine. That's why. Vile and unnecessary.

2) My local Tesco's supermarket in Kennington which seems to have stopped carrying food (or at least any items which I buy regularly). At least they did have the new Foo Fighters CD, though.

3) The Morrissey 'tribute' night last weekend hosted by the Duckie cabal (no, of course I didn't go - Morrissey has for a very long time now been my least favourite member of the Smiths [and I'm including the short-lived extra touring guitarist Craig Gannon in this tally]. As for Morrissey's 'glittering' solo career, you really don't want to hear my opinion). What's wrong with people? All that smug swooning - both him and them. The man is a dreadful self-parody of himself. I don't know why exactly the tribute night offends me so much, it just does. It pops into my head as I walk down the street and I can feel my blood beginning to boil.

4) Reading Council for not allowing more tickets to be sold for Friday at the Reading Festival (the Queens of the Stone Age/ Pixies day - and my birthday!). I have managed to talk Lexipops into going on Saturday (Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Razorlight, Dinosaur Jr). It's just not the summer if you don't at least go to one festival and ogle drunk and shirtless, excitable straight guys. Still I really want to go on Friday.

Anyway, that's enough hatred for now. Perhaps in my next entry I'll list some things that I like. There must be a couple. You know, I could get used to this blogging lark . . . captive audience and all that.

Delenda Est Chris Martin!
